City Phama is a beauty lovers dream. Yes, I can call it a store, a pharmacy, but oh it is so much more. I am currently going through a beauty withdraw since many of the items I purchased last summer from City Pharm in Paris are now practically empty. So it is my emptying makeup bag that caused me to look at my summer photos from Paris and it is with much joy that I a recall my visit. Located in Saint Germain, City Pharma is where fashion and beauty insiders from all over the world gather to purchase their must-have beauty items. There is always a flurry of people…

Rich Girl Hair at Jason Wu for Fall 2015
A big trend that I adore is the new “Rich Girl Hair” look seen at Jason Wu and Prabal Gurung for the Fall 2015 shows in New York City. Actually Kathleen Hou from the Cut dubbed the hair with this phrase, but no matter what you want to call it the hair is long, and straight with a slight wave. Unlike the popular “Beach Wave” this hair looks more natural and sophisticated with the wave in the middle portion of the hair. The trick to create the wave is to only put the hot curling iron on the hair for a second: but of course hair never looks as good as when…

The look was achieved by applying Michael Kors Lip Lacquer in Dame and blotting numerous times; sealing in the color by setting the lips with powder. Violet and berry shades are the color story for 2014, as Pantone has announced Radiant Orchard is the color of the year for home, beauty and fashion and you can read more about the trend on my post for the Examiner. Marc Jacobs Pop – Up Shop Only Accepts Tweets as Payment
Marc Jacobs opened a Daisy fragrance Pop – Up shop in Soho during Fashion Week with a social media twist. This unique shop did not accept money and only accepted social currency in the form of Tweets, Facebook posts and Instagram photos. The innovative shop was brought in part by the large amount of Social Media love given to Marc Jacobs fragrance Daisy, which has one of the highest engagement levels on Facebook. Fans of the fragrance often go to great lengths to publish innovative photos, personal drawings and accolades on Social Media and so this shopping experience was a good way to ‘thank’ fans and launch a new Daisy print campaign.…

Bohemian looks and liquid lips at Alice and Olivia for Fall 2014
Alice and Olivia for New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 was a “modern fairytale” collection influenced by Victorian and Bohemian looks. Set at The McKittrick Hotel in NYC, the romantic collection contained bold brocades, rich velvet, regal lace and opulent metallics, mixed with Monarch Butterfly motifs and jewels. The runway beauty had a definite “notice me on the red carpet” vibe that featured the return of big hair and curls. The rich makeup look centered on lips and eyes created with Stila products. The dramatic eye look was set in place with Stila Smudge Pot in Black and defined with Stay All Day liquid eyeliner in Intense Black. In place of lipstick,…
