Romantic and delicate makeup reign on the Met Gala red carpet
The Met Gala once again proved to be the premiere event for the worlds of fashion, beauty and style; and this year romantic and delicate makeup reigned for the Met Gala Red Carpet.
Nicole Richie easily flaunted this trend with violet hued hair and a Donna Karan Atelier gown. Ironically, Lupita Nyong’o also rocked the Violet hued hair trend with a unique headband that I am sure will be a hot accessory this summer.
Nicole’s beauty look was created using NYX Cosmetics and here is the cheat sheet to create your own look.
Skin: Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in “Sunbeam” helped give Nicole’s skin a shimmery glow to shine on the red carpet.
Eyes: To compliment the sea foam green dress and lavender locks, The Natural Shadow Palette was applied to eyelids. Next one coat of Lush Lashes Mascara and one coat of Fabulous Lashes in “Nirvana” were applied to add more volume to Richie’s eyes.
Lips: Because Matte Lipstick is key to balance a shimmery evening look, “Spirit,” lipstick in a nude pink shade, that complemented her natural yet radiant makeup look, was applied to lips with a lipstick brush.
Nude lips were also seen on Kim Kardashian and Lea Michele and at the direct opposite of the spectrum were romantic, red lips as seen on Taylor Swift and Emily Rossum.
And while we are discussing the Met, lets not forget the first gorgeous exhibit held at the new Anna Wintour Costume Center called Charles James: Beyond Fashion exhibit which I will be visiting and reporting about this summer.
